316L Seamless Steel Tube & Pipe
Grade 316L also known as Grade 1.4404 and is a very popular steel grade. 316L stainless steel contains an added molybdenum that gives it better rust and chemical resistance. This is great for services that need to expose the metal to corrosion and outdoor elements.
316 is suited in applications in heavy gauge (plus 6mm) welded solutions. However, if higher temperatures are used during processing or final form then similar garages such a grade 316Ti stainless steel should be used for a better final product finish.
The grade is generally ready to be brake or roll formed, welded, soldered and cut by both modern thermal and mechanical methods. The austenitic grade structure gives excellent durability and robustness, even down to cryogenic temperatures.
Grade 316L is a low carbon type of low carbon version of the basic grade 316. It is highly resistant to sensitisation (grain boundary carbide precipitation) and is widely used in heavy gauge welded components (around 5mm +).
316L Stainless Steel Grade Pipe
This pipe belongs to the 300 series of pipes, specifically grade 316. This series of pipes are used widely, most of them have a strength of corrosion resistance, heat resistance and good chemical performance.
