Mild Steel Square Bars

Mild Steel Square Bars are a necessity for all fabrication of general structures and industrial maintenance repairs. Its super convenient shape is well suited for jobs throughout the industrial fabrication including: helping to create braces, axles, frame work, trim, awnings, fittings, structures, instruments, gym equipment, and other similar projects.

 

Square bars can come in two finishes, hot or cold. The hot finished square bar can have a grainy texture to it but is easy to weld, cut, form, or even machine. This is the finish used mostly for structural tasks like making supports and frame work. The cold finished steel square bar has a smoother surface to it. It usually contains less carbon than its hot finished counterpart and has a sharper edge to it making it more accurate to its dimensions.  Cold finished steel bars are commonly used in machine mounts, shafts, fixtures and other related projects.
